About a week later and we’re still smiling about this trip.
When we first got invited to Honduras by Allmade, we thought it would be an opportunity to learn more about how the garments we use at We Are Kind are made. And while we absolutely did learn a lot, the experience ended up becoming something much more personal and meaningful than we expected.
In just a few days, we gained new friendships, shared unforgettable conversations, visited inspiring places, and walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the humans behind the process.
One of the most powerful parts of the trip was seeing how many people are involved in creating something as simple as a t-shirt. It’s easy to forget that behind every garment there are real people showing up every day with stories, families, dreams, and challenges of their own.
That perspective changes things. It reminds you that sustainability is not just about recycled fabrics, labels, or marketing terms. It’s also about people, about creating products in a way that respects human beings, communities, and the planet at the same time.
Throughout the trip, we visited factories, learned more about the production process, explored beautiful places in Honduras, and spent time with an incredible group of people from different companies and backgrounds. Somehow, even though many of us had just met, it felt like we had known each other for much longer.
There was a lot of laughter, curiosity, reflection, and inspiration shared during those days.
We also came back with tired legs, full hearts, and a notebook (or cellphone) full of new ideas.
Experiences like this reconnect us with the “why” behind We Are Kind. They remind us that what we’re building goes far beyond products. At the end of the day, this brand has always been about connection between people, ideas, cultures, kindness, and the small actions that can create positive impact over time.
We’re incredibly grateful to Allmade for inviting us and making us feel welcomed from day one. And to every single person we met along the way: thank you for your kindness, your energy, and for sharing part of your story with us.
Trips like this stay with you long after you come home. And honestly… we’re still processing all of it in the best possible way.
